Our Areas of Expertise

At Nutrition Navigator, we treat you as a person, not as a disease.  We take a wholistic approach in supporting the body as a whole to heal itself using food as medicine.  With a special interest in the management of chronic illness and autoimmune disease, we guide our clients to improve their health and vitality and to take a proactive role in their health and wellbeing.

Using a combination of diet, stress management techniques and nutritional supplementation where necessary, we can help you achieve optimal health.

We recognise that not everyone has access to Nutritional Medicine services where they live and so we strive to provide as many of our services online where necessary to reduce the feeling of physical and emotional isolation.

Nutrition Navigator’s Other Services

At Nutrition Navigator, we offer a family-friendly service catering to the needs of the entire family unit. We understand that when a family member is sick, it affects everyone. We aim to provide a nurturing environment where we can educate you on how to best nourish your body for optimal health with evidence-based nutritional medicine practices.

You know you are eating something that is disagreeing with you, but you can’t quite put your finger on what it is? We have several testing methodologies available to us that can test for up to 500 different food and environmental triggers. While an elimination diet is the ‘gold standard’ for determining intolerances, it is not always possible to carry out due to it’s complexity, compliance requirements and time constraints. Testing via blood or hair samples offers quicker results so you can remove the offending foods sooner.

In addition to being able to analyse your test results from your GP, we have the ability to order additional functional pathology outside of the standard medicare service. Extensive thyroid panels including reverse T3 and antibodies, hormone profiles, cortisol levels, pyroluria etc.

If you are concerned that you or your child has been exposed to heavy metals, we can undertake a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis to check their levels. As heavy metals are deposited in body tissues rather than carried in the blood, this is a much more accurate method of testing for heavy metal burden than a blood test.

Has your doctor told you to “eat better” and you don’t know how? Or perhaps you are already eating “healthy” but still can’t get the weight to budge? We can teach you how to plan your meals to suit your individual metabolism and lifestyle requirements.

What My Clients Say…

The tips and techniques Cindy gives for making regular procedures and tests as trouble free as possible and less traumatic for the giver and your child on the receiving end, would be extremely helpful. She...gives such a thorough explanation of the signs and symptoms and how it affects the entire body system. Not to mention the advice given for alleviating or preventing pain caused by the symptoms. She certainly gives parents a deeper understanding of what you can expect, what to do to manage the illness with less impact and strategies to cope, along with an increased knowledge and better understanding of how you, your child and the rest of the family can live a relatively normal life.

As an adult with Hashimoto’s, I was curious how Cindy Kennedy was going to break down such a complicated disease for parents of children who have been newly diagnosed. She explains the mechanism of Hashimoto's in easy-to-understand terms and provides practical suggestions for managing the medical interventions necessary to keep this disease under control. From getting your child through a blood draw to handling issues that arise in the family environment when your child is diagnosed with a chronic illness, she offers techniques to cope with the most difficult of situations with grace and humor. Heck, I learned something new and I’ve been managing this disease for more than 20 years!
